ARCHED LINTELS

Harvey Steel arched lintels are manufactured to Material Specification A, C1, or D1.

Our design system is almost limitless and Arched Lintels can be manufactured for any span and for any type of wall construction.

The Medium and Heavy Duty ranges are insulated with C.F.C. free polystyrene ensuring “U” values are maintained.

Please note that the following dimensions may be specified as zero: elements of wall construction, bearing left, bearing right, upstands and radius. e.g. zero radius on Type ‘F’ Apex Arch lintel will produce angled corners, zero inner skin will give outer skin and cavity only.

All arched lintels have two unique features;

1. Manufactured with a square cavity plate, which is necessary to provide the integral damp proof barrier. This combined with the LINTRAY stop-ends completes the cavity tray.

2. To provide stability to inner and outer leaves, flexible wall ties are fixed to the front and rear of the cavity plate at 450mm horizontal and vertical centres see Type A and B for example. These features provide BOTH a cavity tray AND tie the inner and outer wall skins together. This CANNOT be achieved by using a normal arched lintel with a seperate plastic cavity tray.
